When We Meet:
10:30am Sundays
Service lasts about one hour
What to Expect:
Our services are led by two lay members of the congregation, elected by our members. These “readers” conduct the service.
The majority of the service is listening to the reading of the Weekly Bible Lesson, published by The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, in the Christian Science Quarterly. The Lessons cover one of 26 different subjects, like “God,” “God the Only Cause and Creator,” “Is the Universe Including Man, Evolved by Atomic Force?” and “Love.”
The pastors of our church are the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Readings from these books constitute our sermon.
We’ll sing three hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal. There’s also a solo, a collection, and a benediction.
All prayers (such as the Lord’s Prayer) are made for the congregation exclusively and collectively. So we all pray for each other!
What to Wear:
Many of our members dress up a bit for church, but others come in jeans. You are encouraged to wear what makes you most comfortable.
When We Meet:
10:30 am Sundays, at the same time as our Sunday Service
Lasts one hour
What to Expect:
Looking for a Bible-based education for your children? You’ve come to the right place!
Children aged 3-20 are welcomed in our Sunday School.
The youngest students focus on:
• The 10 Commandments (Exodus 20:3-17)
• The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) and its Spiritual Interpretation from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy
• Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-12)
Older children learn through questions and answers, and focus more strongly on the Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lessons read in church.
When We Meet:
7:30pm Wednesdays
Lasts about one hour
What to Expect:
Our Wednesday meetings are a great way to learn about Christian Science, and how Christian Scientists are healing themselves and their community through prayer.
After topical readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, members of the congregation share their own experiences, testimonies, and remarks about Christian Science. In between remarks, there’s time for quiet contemplation and prayer for the congregation.
What to Wear:
These meetings are more casual than our Sunday services, with some congregants coming from home, but other coming directly from work. Please wear what’s comfortable for you.

We offer free child care for children during our Sunday services, Wednesday meetings, and during church events.
Although our services revolve around our Bible-based lesson sermon, we have professionally performed music as a regular part of our services. A fifteen-minute prelude on our 1954 two-manual Kligen pipe organ provides a time for thoughtful prayer and spiritual contemplation before our Sunday service and Wednesday testimony meeting begin. There is a postlude following both services that lasts about five minutes, and the congreagation sings three hymns together at each service.
During our Sunday service, in lieu of a choir, we have a soloist who performs a piece that complements the Lesson Sermon.
